Good Housekeeping Has Taken Over

Well I gave up on working out and eating better because it takes too much time that I don't currently have. I'm devoting my time to keeping a better house and being a great mom and "soon to be" wife. I just feel that I've neglected my family. I just don't know what else to do. I came home and warmed up leftovers for dinner. Did 3 loads of laundry and got almost all the dishes done. I'm planning to be better at this, but it will take time.

I feel like my family is growing farther apart and we spend more time trying to clean up on the weekends rather than spending time together. I'd like to be able to spend more quality time with the kids. I'd like to take walks like we used to, go to the park, take family trips and things of this nature. I just think we are more concerned with bills, chores and just the facts of life and don't get the chance to spend time being a family.

This is my inspiration my sister Brenda introduced me to this lady and I"m extremely excited about it. I'm not sure that this is going to be easy, but I'm definately going to try to make it work. I love the idea of going back to the 1950's because they seemed to have it all together. They seemed like they were always so happy with or without money. Because they had a plan each day and even though they didn't have much they were still a family. I know I never saw the days of the 50's and I probably have a glorified vision of it, but I like the family icon of it. I'd really like to go back in time thats all.

So here is to the past and the future. Here's to plans made and plan's coming true. Here's to family and family time.....and Here's to the 1950's and the Good Housekeeping Wives may those days not be lost forever!

My first blog...

Well I'd like to thank the girls I used to know as the "Losson girls" (Elizabeth Shain and Stephanie Davies) for giving me the idea to start a family blog. I can post pictures and update people on the mundain (hopefully not too mundain) things in our lives. I'd like to post recipe ideas (ones I've tried and ones I'd like to), outing stories, and just weekend in stories. With as many kids as we have our weekends usually have a funny story or two. Our kids are silly and you never know when they are going to be serious and when they are being serious, but it's really funny. Hopefully, this weekend we will get to take the kids to the circus. Next weekend will be the "Just For Her Expo" with me and Madison and some other friends and family. The following weekend is our much needed Company Fishing Trip weekend. Lots of things going on and can't wait to share them with you.
